Frequently asked questions about Personlex

Does it cost anything to search for a person?

No. People searches are free. You pay if you choose to order a background check.

Do I need an account?

You can search without creating an account. To purchase a background check, you need to create an account or sign in.

What do I receive after paying?

You get access to Personlex’s own background report as a PDF, containing the information about possible convictions and penalties available in the supporting documents.

Is the report an official criminal record extract?

No. Personlex compiles its own report using official register extracts, judgments and other relevant documents from justice authorities.

How should I read the results?

Check that the information refers to the right person and read the documents in context. Being mentioned in a document does not itself mean that a person has been convicted. Missing information does not guarantee that there are no convictions.
